To be fair, there weren't really many Steel and Dark types when they debut. Same with Dragon and Ghost until Gen 3 gave them all a generous amount.

Anyone else find it ironic that a mushroom Pokemon is x4 weak to Poison attacks even though the vast majority of mushrooms ARE poisonous?
