Well, Serena, the bad news is, you're not going to be with Ash.
The good news is, you're not going to be with Ash next season when he's sent back to school.

I could not and still cannot believe that people still watch this piece of fucking shit. Serves you right for thinking this trash would get any better.

Frankly, I personally have to agree on the whole "children throwing a fit over Ash losing again" thing. I mean come on, people! I saw the reactions people had on Youtube, and literally almost all of them were salty enough that they complained they'd quit watching the anime after this happened! That's ridiculous, not to mention immature. I mean yeah, I think it would've been nice for them to finally let Ash win a league competition for a change, but I wasn't about to hold my breath knowing that it most likely wouldn't happen.

That being said, and I DO think that a new series with a different protagonist without a stupid "I'm not going to let my Pokemon evolve" mentality would be a breath of fresh air; and more so than letting Ash finally win a league for a change would be better for the series overall. Let's face it, people. Ash most likely won't get to win a league or have a girlfriend as the series goes on, even as much as the fanbase overall REALLY wants him to. And with so many people getting SO butthurt over this is beyond stupid. And for the record, Serena came closer than anyone to realizing the dreams of the fans as far as having a girlfriend is concerned, so at least be happy about that and stop being so butthurt over this, for crying out loud!

"I'm not going to let my Pokemon evolve" mentality

People are always saying that and it has never been true. With the exception of Pikachu and Gligar who need items to evolve, all of his Pokemon that are able to evolve would do so on their own. Ash has no say in the matter. He even gave Pikachu the choice to evolve twice and both times it was Pikachu that refused. The only Pokemon he actively prevented from evolving was Gligar, who still evolved by the end of that same episode.
