I have seen the show and it's a favorite of mine and I don't hate Ume. It's a comedy show for god's sake, I don't understand the Ume haters.

We know its a comedy show but hear this out; yes slapstick comedy is always funny but what happens if you do way too much slapstick it becomes less funny as it goes along to a point where it become annoying to watch. This series has a pretty fun plot which is enjoyable to watch, however what prevents this series to reach the top is a pointless side plot where it goes nowhere and has no importance to the main plot where some scenes (including one whole episode) seems like filler.
