The story of Alice's life, having a tea party with a doll of her own design, making it move to give her the feeling of not being horribly alone, all the while desperately hoping that somebody, anybody, will get lost in the Forest of Magic and knock on her door and provide her with the social interaction that will, for a few fleeting moments, distract her from the sad realization that she will remain, alone and forgotten by the world at large as she sits in her house, surrounded by dolls who only act because she's directly controlling them.
