Oh ho ho, I remember this theory flooding the net months before Sun and Moon released. To bad that that route was a little to deep for Game Freak to go down. To bad I would have like to see how they rationalized away stuffing Lillie into a ball to serve you for eternity.

Actually that theory is still kinda true in a really, really creepy way- dialog reveals that Lusamine was purposely grooming Lillie to look like a Nihilego because of being THAT obsessed with it.
