Anyone who actually thought Ash-Greninja and especially Megas wouldn't be in the game deserve to be disappointed.

I'm hype for Ash-Greninja and the demo story for it. This is also my first time so far I've decided on a party member outside of my starter.

Still, it's kinda of a very specific "Mega" Evolution based completely on Ash's form. Then again it was so badass in the anime I suppose the makers wanted it in the game and realized they couldn't mess with the design too much.

It's not a Mega, it's its unique Battle Bond Ability. Triggers when it takes down an opponent, not through a Mega Stone.

Its a cool concept, and I hope Delphox and Chesnaught get this treatment as well. [mages and armor-knights need love too, damn rouges stealin the spotlight every time.] But... Why is it still called Ash-Greninja when Ash doesn't actually exist in the core game universe? Surely they could have come up with a better name... but then again they decided to call the 2nd gen 3DS the "NEW3DS" instead of something like 3DSi so...

^ Are you suggesting calling it something like "Red-Greninja" would be better? Because it probably would be.

But the "Ash" part might be kept simply because almost everyone that plays Pokemon has some idea of who Ash is.
