No, Lelouch didn't take his fathers code.
His father, as well as his mother were somehow destroyd within that funny place.
A code overwrites the geass, so he wouldn't have had it.

Actually, if I remember correctly, a person with the code will retain their geass until their first death. Til then, they are also not immune to another person's geass. So it is theoretically possible that Lelouch survived. Another thing to note, is that the second season was called R2, kind of like C2 and V2. Well, there is no letter "L" in the Japanese language so instead they use "R". So Lelouch would be spelled Rerouch, and L2 would be R2. Just my opinion anyway.
