Nice thing about russian language is that it can take words from other languages withous losing their naturalness. However, pace of borrowing in last 30 years somehow upsets me. Many of everyday borrowings could be described in our own. But English is, well, shorter.

English is becoming the de facto global language of trade. It's also the most common second language. That's why English words tend to bleed into most other languages.
Between England having once had one of the largest empires in history and America being the major economic and military powerhouse in the world; It's not surprising that English is so prevalent.
