I'm partly sad Pokemon Generations won't cover Gen 7 cause I'm really curious to Guzma's childhood.

There's a lot Generations could do for gen 7, such as Gladion's escape with Type: Null, Kukui's development of the pokemon league, how Guzma and Lusamine teamed up, Hau's side of his trial adventure, how
lusamine met the ultra beasts, or maybe even a story about Mallow coming across a Xurkitree in the Lush Forest while looking for ingredients. Lots of potential side stories they could make for gen 7.
