There's honestly a difference between "opening the legs a bit" and "spreading the legs". The first is about giving some air to what's between your pants and avoiding ball pain; the second is about not giving a fuck about other people and is called manspreading.

Honestly, I think it's just common human decency to refrain from manspreading.
