This is not animated nor is it even a gif. Right clicking and opening it in a new tab reveals it to be a jpeg.

Anon1: you're looking at the sample. ALL samples are JPEG, regardless of what format the full-size image is. If you view the full-size image, it will be animated.

You might have to let it load, I click on original size and then have to let it sit before it plays.

Even the original image isn't animating properly.

It has a non-working loop that freezes and will not restart after one load.

Been watching it on repeat for a good 2 minutes now it's either your browser or possibly an adblocker.

Can't believe people still don't understand how Gelbooru works :D

This isn't working properly because gelbooru associated all their scripts with adds. In other words most stuff (comments, seeing over 42 images in a search, seeing resized images in original size) won't work, unless you disable your adblocker. It would be nice to have a polite heads up though...

The page numbers thing has nothing to do with scripts. Those are sent to your browser as plain 'ol HTML.

The good folks over at EasyList added a filter that specifically blocks the paginator. This filter doesn't block any ads, it just stops the page numbers from rendering. We had nothing to do with it.
