Sure....lets simply forget that Rue's whole motivation in the game is bringing Claire back to life, that (as he said) she was all he could think about during his missions, and that he obviusly loves her. That's "of the devil" amirite?
Instead, pairing him with a girl who he never showed ANY kind of feelings for, and whose only connection with him is that they're the "main characters"....is much more possible.
