Anyway poland had the most powerful economy but they were attacked from *todays germany , russia and austria* Everyday everytime, poland even after that did not fall. They are truly badass ^^

Ekhm - could you name a battle when "Until they refused to adapt to modern times, ran straight into Swedish musketeers and got wiped out to a man."? If I am remeber polish-swedish wars even when Carol X Gustaw adopt heavy muskeets they didn't win with that formation. But he crush she on other field - destroying polish-lithanian lands he ecconomicaly cut their numbers (and type - from "classic" to "substandard denobilitated") and before that he change on creating new formation in husaria - cross-charge with gun pelting. If you are curious abot "got wiped out to a man" - read about Kirholm battle (a bit before CXG) where almost 9k infantrymans (8,5k Swedish a few hundreds mercenaries), a bit more that 2,5k cavalary and 11 cannons lose agains 1k infantry (mostly lithuanian) 2,5 cavalary (a few hundreds hussars, a bit medium-heavy (towarzysze pancerni) companions, and rest of it light ones) and 4 light cannons... 13 hussars died during battle (100 soldiers polish-lithuanian lose at total) in comparision Swedish - almost 10k and king Carol survive only by sacrifice of brave rajtar. So: don't underestimate that formation. As hussaria never was defeated, her country was. Nobles less think about war, give less money on that, and hussaria need two things to work: extremally trained people (exercises from young, if not you never be able to learn proper way to operate in formation with horse and hit propely in that speed - you will be merely lancer / huzar ("lekki znak"), not hussar) and money (for hussaria was specially breded and trained horses, armours were expensive, and you must have companions - for them also horses, armours, arms and tabor). So as you see - that was not that simple as you wrote.

That's fact that Commonwealth's army didn't adapt to modern times at some point^^;; As the time flied by, neighbourhood countries had proffesional armies, but Poland and Lithuania remained using "common movement"...
And yeah, Huzaria started to fail ... during Khmelnytsky Uprising wasn't it?
