how old is rydia anyway, when the game first came out you'd think she was no older than 12, but when the DS remake came out she looks like she is 20. i really dont understand what happened, but i can say that people prefer boobs to flat chested little girls....in most cases. someone enlighten me.

Rydia is 7 seven she firsts join Cecil in the game. A few in game events later her aging is accelerated so even though she is only seven earth years old she appears 20.
"The After" is like, If I recall correctly without looking it up, is another 15 years later.

Rydia meets Cecil and Kain when she is a young child. She is angry with them for destroying her village, but she has been kidnapped and has no choice but to tag along with the soldiers who say they are now sorry. They begin to love and trust one another until LEVITHAN HIMSELF attacks their ship during a journey and SWALLOWS RYDIA. A year and many struggles later, she re-appears 20 something, a master black sorceress and summoner, from living in the world of fairies, spirits, espers, and gods.
