most animes when something is not determined, the translators have a xenophobic tendency to decide eg. chronas gender. as its been argued that in the english version many characters apparently determined chrona a male.
On sight I beleived female. not just for mannerisms and different determinable points in the animation. watching the subbed version. (i dont do dubbed) when stein states "him", during makas first encounter with chrona, was he referring to chrona or ragnorak. as ragnorak (the demon blade) is clearly male and is infused with chrona. the characters can beleive chrona to be chrona(f), demon weopon(M), ragnorak(M) or the next kinshin(A), so which do they refer to... follow the context.
it also appears a trend that characters have weopons and meisters opposing genders. exceptions include excalibur who will take anyone, goggles from makas class (think hes gay),
stein and death use spirit, however the meister who made spirit was spirits wife, female. outside the box, voice actresses are quite convincing to chronas gender....
patty and liz during the fight on nidhogg clearly stated chrona female. ill trust in womens intuition on that one as opposed to male logic, theres a reason why guys are always saying yes dear and still, not get laid. and im sure everyone notices the dress, especially with chibi chrona and maka, how chronas dress is the same length to makas, still a dress, not a kilt.
as funny as cross dressing may be, im not finding the humor here nor a purpose. rumor states an undeterminable gender was the artists intention, so, whats your opinion?
that should be sufficient, ive still got another 22 episodes to go, so should i find something more convincing, ill be back.
