Maybe we should replace Ash because he ages too much himself. The girls are supposed to be new adventurers right ? Which means 10 years old when Ash first meets them (aside of special case Misty) right ? How old is Ash by now already ? RBY was in the late 90s so that would be 20 years ago, so Ash would be 30 based on that, or maybe it's one year per generation then he's still 16-17. Ouch...

One problem is that if you try to figure out his age by the time you get to the start of Black and White, whatever you figured his age to be at that point, is thrown out as they made him straight up say he was 10.
They basically made it clear no matter how much time passes, Ash and everyone else do not age, and if they do then they just reset it so they go back to being the age at the start.
No matter what, all calculating is pointless as it's thrown out the window just to keep him at the same age.

@JackCutBlue : interesting. I'd argue that since in first season he was explicitely 10 as well, that doesn't mean he doesn't age (he would still be older, just not physically), but rather means that time itself has stopped in the universe of Pokémon... Holy shit !
Dialga ! What did you do again, you naughty kid ?
