I'm really surprised that the DORA railway gun wasn't used in the series. I mean, with an 800 mm barrel, wouldn't that have been the perfect anti-Neuroi weapon?

^ The limitations of the real gun (mainly just moving it around) may have played a part in them not using it.
Plus there's not much of an aviation history surrounding it, not even air operations against it, so it really wouldn't fit much into the basic theme.
It looks cool, but not everything that's cool can be fit in.
