No the original Monster Mk. II has a more elongated body- this is the Konig Monster the new variable heavy bomber/artillery destroid. Background structure is irrelevant, it could be any of the SDF Macross class vessels.

This and Wiseduck from Tech Romancer look somewhat similar, hm. I like them both-- this was first though, right? Since Tech Romancer's giant mecha are all based on other giant mecha, I assume Wiseduck is based on this.
