Anon, its only discrimination if you call a real person a "trap". Why? Because "trap" is a term that was used to refer to characters specifically drawn in a way that would lead people to think they are of a certain gender, when they're another, thus "trapping" the person. It is meant to challenge people's perceptions of what is a "girl" and a "boy" when it comes to anime/manga art. Therefore, "Trap" is, or was originally, an affectionate term, not an offensive one. And also calling a real person a "trap" makes no sense for the same reason.

People would sneak pictures of Bridget into "anime girl" threads to trick ostensibly-straight /b/tards into posting that they were attracted to a boy. Other /b/tards would attempt to warn them by posting pictures of Admiral Ackbar and saying "It's a trap!" That's literally all there is to it. Put down your gender-studies degrees.
