Too bad puberty didn’t strike earlier and get him interested in girls when Misty or any of the girls were around traveling with him. He could’ve gained a lot more than just badges and new Pokémon. Like for example contact info, phone numbers or experience but you know... it’s a show for kids... about catching and making animals fight one another.

No reason he couldn't have done that offscreen. Just cause they don't show it doesn't mean it didn't happen. We don't see his mom have sex or really hear about his dad but safe to assume he had one and she had sex unless Ash is a clone.
