It feels like we barely got to spend any time with her before she was all over Gohan. Than it was love and boom, marriage and baby. Same with Chi-Chi and 18, they just fast forward through the relationship to the point where they have a kid. I think Bulma and Vegeta is the only relationship I really like because theirs had a bit more growth, time and complexity to it than the rest and all it cost was more of whatever dignity Yamcha still had at that point.

Why give characters love interests if you’re not intending romance? Why have girls that don’t fight in a fighting manga? I mean is that all they are? Just wombs for future fighters? If all it really is is a fighting manga than just stick to fighting, why give certain characters wives and have them start families? If it’s something you just sort of expect to happen because it’s life, I’d understand. People grow up, fall in love, marry and start families, sure. Except it didn’t happen to Tien or Yamcha, it didn’t need to happen to any of them at all for that matter. Gohan didn’t have to meet his future baby mama in high school but he did. And if you’re gonna write about a relationship than you should at least try a bit more than not at all.
