In this case yes, they would be related though no more than is normal with a small village. If I recall something like 4-6 generation separation is normal for members of groups that have stayed in place for long enough. All Crimson Mages are direct descendants of the original group that was created by the mad scientist Aqua sent to that world. Same guy who made Destroyer and a few other troublesome things.
