I think that this teacher could have made a great Social Link. Ms. Kashiwagi is rather bitter and desperate because of being single (and because she's on the wrong side of 40), and Yu helps her overcome her immaturity and desperate behavior.

Sure, that would likely not end in an encounter such as this, but it's the thought that counts.
