I don't know what the artist would think of it, but I always get the impression this poor girl is just trying to get to/from school or to a date or something when the worst things just start happening. Every. Single. Time.

Whatever it is, if it can go wrong and catch her up in the middle of it and result in varied degrees of damage, it will go wrong.
