You make it sound like Tifa is emotionally weak and hasn’t gone through tough times and hardships herself. Practically everyone in the party has a rocky past but still finds the strength to move forward.

Not really sure what you were smoking while you played FF7, but Tifa is one of the more mentally tough characters in the game. She needs to be for her dynamic with Cloud to work.
