Shingo, technically, wasn't around yet in KoF XII. It's a remix of KoF '94, in effect. Hence why some characters have reverted to older styles, like Kyo and Athena. Some have just been rewritten, with their new styles as effective canon.

anon3 has no idea what he was talking about, kofxii is not a remix of '94. it's just a half-finished kofxiii, where they're finishing the Ash sage.
