The way her hands are positioned, it looks like she's holding him, for protection. He's expressionless, but looks ok because hes cradling her, as if to protect her from any harm or danger. Like anon 1 and 2 said, maybe she thinks its an ugly attempt to get some love and appreiation, especially Li nk.
