This is actually something parents of preteen girls have to watch out for. Girls can easily start doing this on their own because they discover it gets them positive attention, and they can also be tricked into doing it.

In the manga of Stella no Mahou, the character Nono had no clue what sex was, but posted lots of photos of her eating things shot downward so her legs were visible. She found that she got more likes and comments on those photos, without understanding why that was the case. That was a nice bit of realism for her character.
