It's currently sci-fi but impregnating a robot could be possible if they made it partially a bio-robot or DNA-robot. Right now in the real world scientist are working on making DNA computers which can store all the knowledge the human race has gained over it's history onto a machine small enough to fit in the back of a van. As you can guess, they can store more data in smaller space than traditional computers.

Speaking of bio-robots, scientist actually did make the first programmable lifeforms called Xenobots. They're made from the cells of African Clawed Tree Frogs and they plan to program them to clean our oceans of plastic particles and clean our bodies for medical reasons.
