It's not a bad game to play once you get the hang of it, albeit can be quite annoying. But it's absolutely essential for getting Squall's ultimate weapon, the Lion Heart, as early as disc 2, provided you have the patience to win at least 10 Elnoyle Cards and have Card Mod and Ammo Refine. It's tedious, but for that gunblade, it's sooooo worth it.
