No wonder you have to say "imagine," since that's not even close to what happened. "having sympathy for someone based solely off of their sexual preference while ignoring the crimes they've committed" has to be one of the saddest ass pulls I've ever read. The "solely" like this exists in a vacuum and the "ignoring" that never happened. Talking about a different aspect isn't inherently ignoring something else. Her being a piece of shit doesn't undo the fact this is probably the worst thing you could ever do to her.
It's genuinely a skill issue you couldn't even consider someone is capable of thinking "this is probably the most violating thing to her" and "karma, bitch." Same way some people wouldn't want to see a headshot 2 feet in front of them, but "good riddance" is an easy 3 syllables when you hear the news.
In the same way people find it appealing or justified, it's fair game for anyone else to feel "detress" seeing it. Shock and awe, but not everyone follows "an eye for an eye" rules. If you have to bullshit this bad for moral superiority, then you weren't that high up to begin with and shouldn't bother pretending.
