I love the way the japaneese have thier houses styled, like in the front there, anything goes but sfter that u have to take off ur shoes, no ifs ands and all that, if i had that my stairs would still have carpet on them lol

I can certainly respect that, yeah. It's very efficient and I wonder why it's only done in Japan. It's only normal to keep the dirt in one room (because it was raining or you stepped in some dog poo), but afterwards the house is totally and utterly clean.

it's not done only in Japan, btw. a lot of countries from all over the world have some variation of this room and the whole taking your shoes off when you come in.
