So that's not entirely true. Though it doesn't self lubricate quite like a vagina or mouth, the intestines do produce a lubricating mucus that aids in defecation.

Some people find that after a high colonic, the bowels either over-produce or simply produce without a 'task at hand' so in turn they find that store bought lubrication is in fact, not always needed.
