anon3; bowser has died multiple times, but he's always been brought back by bowser jr., his past self, kamek, the star rod, etc. Bowser's a buffoon, but he has his awesome moments. the star rod plan was genius, although he forgot to secure the star spirits. He could have wished that the spirits were unattainable by Mario, which he completely ignored. although, knowing kamek, she would have told him of this if not for shigeru's thirst for an actual plot. he also could have wished for peach to <3 him, or fight mario for him, knowing mario couldn't hurt her 'cause she's the prize at the end of the game, along with the whole saving the mushroom kingdom thing. Of all the things he could have wished for, he wished for invincibility....but that was his fatal flaw. As for the second paper mario, he won hard. He saved mario's ass at least twice, while trying to do the opposite. The playable bowser parts were what sparked the play style of super paper mario; although they did keep the timed "stylish" system as well as adding the win point system as exp while showing it as a general score- to show how well the player did while proving useful within the game, instead of JUST being useful to leaderboards (if they even thought of those.) in super paper mario, bowser was a slow powerhouse, whom was most likely used the most in the 100 trials world because of his cheap fire-breathing power. In bowser's inside story, he's the most important character, and will most likely be the best part of the game, considering the player gets to have giant mech-battle-like gameplay while as him. Maybe even godzilla-ish as well. tl;dr, bowser's badass, he dies sometimes, but his henchies know that he's too awesome to die.
