I'm guessing they're geek soldiers since they have that wii-mote look-a-like on their arm and that the gun resembles a super scope...also the buildings are a PS3 and an Xbox360.

I think it's a suggestion that the Wii won the console wars... PS3 and 360 buildings burning but Nintendo soldiers patrolling...

The Wii's there, too. It looks like the bottom part of the PS3 because it's partially hidden by the sign, but it's there. And yeah, the helmet is a Virtual Boy.
