Anon2, that's not the Wisdom Symbol, it's the Zora's Sapphire symbol. It's on her dress too, has to do with that the Rito evolved from the Zora during the centuries between Ocarina of Time's future-end and Wind Waker.

Much as it may be difficult to imagine (I still have issues with it myself), the Wind Waker does state the Rito evolved from the Zora. Or so I remember.
