Looks like they kidnapped her on the way home from school, decided to sell her as a slave. After an overseas trip, something went wrong on the way to the auction so they've decided to ditch their cargo in the wilderness.

"Untie me!" she screams. "D-don't leave me here!" But they close the doors of the van and drive away without looking back, leaving her to struggle for her life under the blazing sun.

That, or she's at the sea, and is crawling up in a race against the rising tide, fighting for her life while being the entertainment of whoever left her there.
