If the creator has not given the character a gender, then the character has no gender.

Please keep in mind that when people translate, they sometimes take liberties and add in their own interpretation in translation, which sometimes leads to incorrect information that the original author doesn't intend.

This is why on this site, we rely on information from the original source as much as possible as translations are not always accurate or unbiased.
