Actually.. Water has the most potential since it can learn almost all the skills needed to beat any element.. For example.. Feraligatr can learn:
Dark E - Bite: Effective for Psychic type with the possibility of flinching
Water E - Surf: Effective for rock and fire and it is very powerful
Ice E - Ice Beam: Effective for dragons, grass, and has the possibility to completely freeze..
Normal E -Slash: Powerful attack with high possibility for critical
That's almost all the major badass Elements out there.. Others would be taken out anyways

Whenever I would play the game or restart it, because I like to do that in Pokemon games, I would always choose one of only two, because there's always this one Pokemon that's too much of a challenge.

Im sorry but im a grass type but if i had to say the last three to stand would be Sceptile, Chairzard, and Empoleon and in the end they would probably end up knocking out each other and create a massive canyon on where there Epic battle stood.

Not if you level it up to Combusken. Double Kick wrecks the gym and while it isn't going to be doing any wonders for Brawly, the next few gyms up until the 6th will cry. It is also fully effective against the first, the third and the last of the E4.
