I really don't think it could be liquid gold because of her final pose, additionally the hair would have burnt away, stuff like that. either some kind of plastic, or just a paint. maybe even a weird plaster. is she alive or dead at this point though?

When she was soaked in this 'gold custard thingy' she was allowed to struggle until custard hardens her into a statue. So my 2cent theory is, the liquid might not be as 'burningly harmful' as everyone knows, but it could be something that is liquid at cooled state, and solidifies at human temperature.

When she was soaked in this 'gold custard thingy' she was allowed to struggle until custard hardens her into a statue. So my 2cent theory is, the liquid might not be as 'burningly harmful' as everyone knows, but it could be something that is liquid at cooled state, and solidifies at human temperature.
