Is no one going to mention that the suit Freeman is wearing is a fully capable Powered Materials Handling Hazardous Environment Suit? It's fucking POWER ARMOUR. Sam Fisher can't out-strength IRON MAN. You see that hand on Sam's precious shoulder? It's about to toss Sam like a salad just before that crowbar sends him to sleep with the fishes.

I think this is the hidden moment in Half Life...as in, the first one. And Gordon made the mistake of crossing the G-Man, and got a 'battle he has no hope of winning'. Besides, his suit isn't 'power armor', that would imply it made him stronger. All it does is basically absorb some bullets, withstand mild radiation, and chafe. Besides, Gordon'll just get stabbed in the neck, and start back from his last checkpoint or quicksave spot. Maybe G-Man would still have use of him. Then he'll remember not to go for a swim in that particular spot again.
