I think it's the curve of her spine...wouldn't do that unless she were...slightly damaged. Then again, if a tentacle is going all the way through her, I guess her spine a moot point.

It's more than that. Her torso is far too long. Almost twice the size it should be, really.. Anatomically speaking, her pelvis should be where the stomach bulge is. But as anon2 pointed out, with tentacles going through you, anatomy is pretty much out the window.

Personally I think it's because the tentacles broke her in half, but the skin is still intact. This artist had more of this stuff, and she was also pretty mangled in some of those pics too.
