Satan (aka Lucifer) was an angel, wouldn't it make sense he'd look like one?

The name Lucifer no longer applies. Spirit names are given based on who and/or what a given being is; if that being ceases to be who and/or what it was, the name is no longer valid and they instead have a new name.

Lucifer was an angel, one of the closest to God. Lucifer left heaven after God made mankind and said that one day they would become rulers, and that angel kind would serve them; Lucifer's pride got in the way of humility; "How could a glorified hairless ape possibly rule over me?"... Lucifer said "I will not serve!", and began the descent into becoming the entity known in some modern cultures as Satan, from the Greek word, meaning "Adversary". Satan keeps up an effort to appear to many as though nothing ever happened, much as an aging woman will put on makeup to appear younger. Satan hates God and thereby all things good and holy, including truth. Therefore it can be surmised that Satan would appear as an angelic being.

The being depicted appears to be a seraph; these are the closest to God. Seraphs spend almost all of their time with God, content to stay close by. This intimate affinity is related to the fact that they know and understand God's love in the most pure and complete sense. They are known to go elsewhere, although it is rare.

Makes you wonder weather or not Lucemon from Digimon's kid form was influenced visually by Satan from Devilman......

Actually, no. Lucifer is the name. Lucifer is still the name.
Satan is a /position/. In God's court, a satan (pronounced su-TAAN) is the prosecuting attourney. He works for God, to charge and make a case against the guilty.

To clear this all up:

Lucifer (in the context of being used as a name for Satan) stems from a mistranslation of the Book of Isaiah where the King of Babylon was being compared to the planet Venus (also known as the "morning star" due to it being one of the last stars you see at sunrise).

Lucifer is the Latin name for "morning star", so presumably, someone who translated the Bible from Latin to English mistook "Lucifer" for the name of an entity, rather than the planet Venus, thus creating the association the name has with Satan.

So basically: yeah, Satan is the only correct name, and it's Hebrew for "adversary" or "prosecutor" since that's the role God assigned to him (The Gnostics went a step further and called him Satanael, with the -ael part meaning "of God" in Hebrew.)
