Looks that way, but in the case of Metis, I think she's more on Aegis' side. For two very good reasons.

Actually it looks as if they'd try to prevent the female protagonist from performing the great seal. The pose of the female protagonist is the same pose, and they try to prevent her death, if I'm not mistaken.
