Honestly, had Ukraine respect the choice and decisions of Donetsk, Luhansk like they did to Crimea, and not attack them, and had President Zelenskyy did not bite the promises of the West, EU and NATO, Putin did not force his hand by invading Ukraine.

Yep. Russia pulled the same move my country (America) did and invaded a country for natural resources and to set up a puppet state while claiming there are weapons of mass destruction there that aren't. Listen to what he is saying. Propaganda works, it's been two decades and people in my country still think Iraq had anything to do with 9/11.

Ukrainian here. I don't remember seeing world-accepted referendum in Donetsk or Luhansk, if any at all.
I don't believe in any russian vote process, to be honest.
