That's an enormous stretch, Anon2.

Let's look at the context clues. The guy has a slash mark on his face, indicating she put up a fight. The book reads "wildlife report," which combined with the slash marks and her hair indicate she's a feral child. He's in the process of making her look presentable, she's just thinking about food.

Make sense?

There was a similar case found couple years back that fits their clothing style, her hair is a mess from the wild, she's craving raw meat, and the old man has a scratch mark on his face.
