So many interesting characters introduced on the 1st part...so many possiblities...all trampled over in favor of focusing on the same characters over and over, and their subsequent clones aka their children.
I swear, as cool as Dragonball is, its also the definition of wasted potential.

Dragonball had superb characters and he only needed to expend that but no, he just went into another direction when the Z started. Akira stated that he doesn't know how to make romance. Dude, you have to be a retard to not know how to make a hug scene and make a kiss or something. Not only that but he was a sexist. Too much of a sausage fest the DB is. Still love it though... it's a classic.

I try to be resectful for both genders anon 2, but I don't think it's very sexist to compare male's and female's in hand to hand. By this, I mean that if you found a male and female, same age, health, and intelligence... and made them train the exact same way for five years, the male will be stronger. Don't try the mind or outwitting, I am talking about strength, as in 60 pounds more of muscle.

There's more to it in a fight than sheer strength and size. Some martial arts are pretty much developed to work around or against that. Otherwise it'd be the big strong guy who wins everything. Not to mention there are plenty of women who train and fight who could make short work of plenty of guys because they are professionals. I mean, you can't really underestimate people with tolerance for pain of pushing out a little person out a hole That's a challenge to get a fist in. But of course Dragon Ball is a male targeted series focused on action more than anything else which became less martial arts and more flying super-powered battles in terms of theme. I still appreciate whatever makes this show less of a sausage fest.
