Not just ANY katana but a VERY special one as said before can cut thru dimensions. I don't know that much about Berserk if Guts is as humans as say Travis Touchdown then he still is at a major disadvantage.
Oh and Vergil can teleport and move extremely fast. If he chooses to he can even fight Guts at a distance with his summon swords.

He is almost immune to pain and have great stamina. His sword can penetrate and block ANYTHING, because it is huge, covered with blood of daemons, plus daemonic strength of Guts himself. Also he has cannon and knifes.
Now you can multiple in 5 times all this, if Guts will use his Berserk Armor. In it he becomes almost invulnerable... and much more angry.

He is almost immune to pain and have great stamina. His sword can penetrate and block ANYTHING, because it is huge, covered with blood of daemons, plus daemonic strength of Guts himself. Well i might not know Who Vergil(devil may cry) is but i can tell you this about Gatus/Guts (Berserk)...
1st he has The Dragon-slayer (sword) ..Due to being constantly used against Apostles and other evil spirits, the Dragonslayer exists simultaneously in the Astral and physical realms and can damage astral beings. It is the only weapon known to be effective against Emperor Ganishka in his mist form. Means it can most likely to be able to cut down even The God Hand(are a powerful group of five angels or demons) 2nd he has the The Berserker Armor which is originally created by dwarfs this might not have any thing to do with this but did you ever hear of the Fenris en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenrir
It said that no chain can hold it but some magi-co chain from the dwarfs did. And they will hold till the end of the world(Ragnarök)

Nope.

With Guts being Tank, destroys heavy enemies, has Berserk mode, cannon-arm.
Vergil's Darkslayer Style and Yamato-forged by Darkness, can cut through dimension, divide any demons with high speed, has Devil Trigger, spiral-sword.
Almost perfect team, they just need some High-class Healers.
