It only makes sense that a Japanese artist would draw a trombone with a Yamaha-style F attachment because Yamaha instruments would be more common in their country of origin.
It's a little bit harder justifying the treble clef tattoo, but I can justify that by assuming that she must play with a British-style brass band. That's where you get trombone players using treble clef.
However, convenient censoring or no, that's still incredibly dangerous of her to risk poking herself in the taint with the water key.
