Actually, satori are more or less mind-reading monkeys. They like to dick around by saying out loud whatever you're thinking, especially embrassing shit like "damn this girl has a nice rack". The correct response upon this is to punch the satori in the face, which is confirmed to work as far as the legend goes(though, the would-be mind-reading prankster was a tengu in that case. After getting a fistful of fist on its long nose, it flew away saying that humans are scary because they can act without thinking. )
